An Overview of regulations of Sender in countries

Purpose of this list

This list provides an overview of the known regulations in place in some countries. Please note that this list is subject to changes as operators in any country might make changes on their policy without informing us.

If you want to register a SenderID for a specific country, please contact your Account Manager.

Description explanation

SenderID: The number, text which is displayed as Sender when an end-user receives a SMS.

Alphanumeric: Combination of text and numbers. Can also be only text but not only numbers.

Numeric: Only numbers.

Alpha: Only text.

Short Code & Long Code: Number with either few digits (short code) or local mobile number (long code)

Registration: Process of registering your own SenderID at the local operators.

In some countries, even if registration is mandatory, your traffic might be delivered which is why we do not block the traffic at our side. This is reflected in this list when indicated "SMS Might be rejected by the local operators."
